We are looking for a talented Diesel Tester to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Power Systems Business Segment in Daventry, UK

This is a permanent full-time contract working 37.5 hours Per week. Monday – Friday 7am – 3pm then rotates to 3pm to 11pm week after with a 10:30pm finish on Friday.

Salary is £ 25,600 – 38,400 Based on experience.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Performs skilled nonproduction activities independently which support the manufacturing processes in accordance with quality.

  • Productivity requirements safely in a manufacturing environment and may instructor coach others.

  • Comply with HSE standards, policies, procedures, and regulations.

  • Demonstrates the knowledge of manufacturing by correctly implementing changes in current processes, equipment, and applications to meet the function's needs and contribute towards continuous improvement.

  • Applies Cummins Operating System (COS) practices and Operations Excellence (OE) methodology throughout the plant.

  • Communicates effectively with the assigned team and with all support teams.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

  • Tester background knowledge ideal as will be testing large engine, rigging them into the test cells.

  • Required to test diesel products on a KV cell.

  • Proactive checks for leaks on engines or defects, good standard of quality on engines being shipped out.

  • Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience.
