We are looking for a talented Treasury Leader to lead our team in EMEA, based from Amsterdam or your home office in the Netherlands.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Provides strategic direction and leadership for all treasury operation activities across EMEA – resolving complex treasury issues to support the growth of the business and mitigate risk

  • Works very closely with Tax team globally on capitalization of entities.

  • Partners with Business Segment leaders and functional leaders to drive best practices in financial exposure management, leasing, cash management, and project/entity financing.

  • Identifies exposures, and develops and implements hedging strategies to minimize risk of loss; provides guidance at the entity level with business segment or corporate guidance.

  • Manage and coach a small team of split between locations in the UK & South Africa

  • Ability to develop and design solutions to complex treasury related issues across the region related to supporting the growth of the business and mitigating risk.

  • Leads the Entity Capitalization Process in support of the entity capitalization committee. Work very closely with Tax team in EMEA and globally on the proper capitalization of entities to support the business.

  • Partners with Business Unit leaders and functional leaders in the region to drive best practices in financial exposure management, leasing, cash management, and project/entity financing.

  • Have oversight of the Rest of World Cash Pooling financing structure and lead the process to review and manage balances.

  • Become proficient with Integrity (FIS), all relevant banking platforms, and related treasury systems.

  • Manages relationships in EMEA with e.g. third-party providers, including investment and commercial banks.

  • Participate as a financial advisor in the board meetings of EMEA Dutch holding companies to support oversight with respect to the corporate financing and treasury activities of those entities.

  • Negotiates banking facilities, cash management, guarantees and other related financial support. .

  • Assures programs are compliant with financial board and legal, fiscal, or regulatory requirements.

  • Provides oversight of the global financing structures, including the Cash Pooling structure. This may include attending quarterly board meetings and strategic meetings with local management, BMG and Tax in the Netherlands.

  • Establishes processes and systems to support the global footprint of the enterprise, leveraging the Cummins operating system and Six Sigma approaches to treasury processes and systems.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • College, university, or equivalent degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related subject required. Financial certification preferred.

  • Significant relevant experience required, including managerial and budgetary experience.

  • Significant experience in multiple sub-functional areas of function.

  • Demonstrated project management experience leading large complex global projects. Significant experience leading process re-engineering.

  • Exposure to operating across EMEA preferred

  • Familiarity with central bank regulations in the region and ability to anticipate challenges with sovereign central bank policies.
