Our Distribution Business Unit in Europe consists of a distributor and dealer support network. They deliver reliable sales and service of durable and high performing engine, generator set and aftermarket products to our regionally based (global) partners. This is an exciting opportunity in Bucharest (Romania) for an Accountant

Your impact will be seen in these and other ways:

  • Compile, consolidate, and conduct basic analysis of accounting and finance information.

  • Assists with the production of monthly and annual financial statements and reports.

  • Make accounting adjustments through appropriate journal entries.

  • Assists with monthly and annual account reconciliations and close activities.

  • Examine a variety of financial statements and transactions for completeness, internal accuracy, and conformance with accounting standards.

  • Prepare tables, charts, and other exhibits for reports.

May perform less complex accounting projects or participate as a team member on more complex projects.

  • Co-responsible for B/S Reconciliation of all accounts for Romania making sure accounts are reconciled according to policy; when required, responsible for B/S Reconciliation for other functions within the region

  • Cooperate with external accounting office in order to ensure proper documentation flow

  • Manage suppliers incoming service invoices and all issues related to suppliers and invoices (distribution for approval, preparation for payment, archiving)

  • Manage common business processes and functions in accordance with established manuals/desk procedures

  • Manage cash application process (bank statement)

  • Responsible for Inter-company AR and AP

  • Act as a back-up for Senior Accountant


Skills and Experience Required:

  • Experience in Finance function;

  • Good knowledge of Romanian & US GAAP

  • Fluent in English

  • Good knowledge of accounting systems (Oracle)

  • Good understanding of excel and other Microsoft office literacy

  • Good communication and orientation towards results

  • Desire to develop professionally

  • Team player

Required Education, Licenses or Certifications

  • University D egree in Accounting, Finance or Economics
