Our generator plant in Craiova needs an experienced Supply Chain Planner to efficiently manage and control our supply chain processes and procedures to ensure that we have enough materials available for just in time delivery to keep production running at all times.

Your impact will be seen in these and other ways:

  • Plan and maintain daily Supply Chain operations in one or more functional areas such as materials, production, inventory, logistics, customer service, demand management and order fulfillment.

  • Ensure all materials are ordered in the most effective manner, in terms of minimum order quantities and values in conjunction with order frequency, to maximize warehouse space.

  • Analyze and interpret data to ensure that the most appropriate action is taken in the required timescales to ensure that supply chain issues are identified and resolved.

  • Collaborate with your team to create planning system strategies to improve signals across the supply chain.

  • Monitor and adjust parameters in the planning system.

  • Execute the daily operational planning process within a specified functional area.

  • Work closely with stakeholders - internal and/or external to develop short term tactical improvements.

  • Participate in functional process improvement teams


Skills and Experience Preferred:

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Existing experience within supply chain, such as inventory control, demand/ production planning and order management is necessary in this role.

  • Experience with SAP, Oracle or a similar ERP package would be an advantage.

  • Substantial Excel skills

  • Strong communication skills teamed with the ability to build rapport with a diverse range of people whether they are a part of Cummins or an external supplier.

  • The ability to organise and prioritise your own work load.

  • To be detail orientated, ensuring the correct information is provided at all times and documents are always correct and up to date.

  • To be an advocate for change and share your ideas in how we can streamline process and procedures.

  • A global perspective – taking a broad view when approaching issues, using a global lens.

  • Romanian and English language skills are essential for this role.

Required Education, Licenses or Certifications

  • A technical/ economical degree or significant, related work experience is required for this role.
