Applied Controls - Technical Specialist

Description

We are looking for a talented Technical Specialist to join our team specializing in technical controls for our engine business in Darlington. This is a hybrid role, and we anticipate that you will need to be onsite 10-15% of the time. This may fluctuate, in line with project requirements.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Act as focal point during discussions with internal and external stakeholders on electronic issues, including datalinks and OBD

  • Analyze and prepare technical data and complete required documentation of work for different stakeholders and recommend appropriate actions.

  • Identify and Lead team improvements projects

  • Lead and support problem solving initiatives to provide resolution for engine control system/feature issues and recommend appropriate actions

  • Lead the development and release of electronic calibrations and diagnostics to support customer, legal and business requirementsWe are looking for a talented Technical Specialist to join our team specializing in technical controls for our engine business in Darlington. Qualifications

Qualifications - External

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • An engineering focused degree

  • Knowledge in the areas of Matlab and Simulink required

  • Knowledge of standard diagnostic scan tools

  • Project management and line management

  • Experience in simulation-based working

  • Advanced MS office skills, especially Excel

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary between £48,000 - £54,000 depending on experience

  • Defined contribution pension scheme (up to 9%)

  • Annual bonus plan - target 8% (based upon company performance)
