Diagnostics Certification Specialist
Description
You will play a vital role in the future success of our engines, as we continue to lead the way in engine design and technology, to meet current and future ambitions. We’re currently investing in Euro 7 and looking ahead to hydrogen and electrification, you will be in a prime position to learn and develop alongside our dedicated and supportive team.
Joining our Product Compliance & Regulatory Affairs team in Darlington you will take a lead on new products development, advising at each step of the engine’s journey to ensure it will meet current and future European emission and diagnostics regulations and ultimately achieve certification. Your impact will also be seen in these and other ways;
Planning and executing diagnostics development, testing and validation for new product for European region.
Developing and implementing diagnostics certification plans through interaction and negotiation with internal stakeholders and regulatory agencies.
Be central to discussions with internal and external stakeholders on diagnostics certification and compliance
Supporting product development teams with guidance and information on Diagnostics regulatory requirements to facilitate the effective development of products to achieve product compliance
Leading and supporting problem solving initiatives to provide resolution for diagnostic issues and recommend appropriate actions
As a Hybrid role you will need to be based near to and work onsite at Darlington 10-20% of the time, depending on business needs.
Qualifications
To be a success in this role you will have a background in diagnostic regulations, creating the diagnostic certification/compliance, you will also have experienced the full product development lifecycle, along with:
A Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other relevant technical disciplines
Experience of Matlab and Simulink is preferred
An awareness of European On-highway, Non-Road diagnostics requirements.
Knowledge of diagnostics certification and compliance regulations applicable to Europe.

Salary depending on experience: £48,000- £61,600
