DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Multi Skilled Emissions Technician to become part of our Manufacturing team within the DTO Product Development Business Unit in Darlington, County Durham, UK.
This is a dedicated weekend shift role , offering a 37.5-hour week with a rotating schedule between 7:00am – 7:00pm and 7:00pm – 7:00am.
Shift Pattern:
Training shifts (6-months) rotating on a weekly basis, 37.5-hour week:
Monday - Friday 6.00am - 2.00pm
Monday - Friday 2.00pm - 10.00pm
Over a 4-week cycle, work weekends on the following shifts:
Fri/Sat/Sun Days
Fri/Sat/Sun Nights
Fri/Sat/Sun/Mon Days
Fri/Sat/Sun Nights
The salary for the role is between £31,501.00 - £38,500.00 depending on skills and experience plus shift allowance.

Proactively maintain and repair equipment across multiple areas, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
Keep machinery, equipment, and plant running at peak availability by maintaining process capability and reliability.
Operate Development Test Cells effectively, prioritizing based on performance to maximize output.
Drive continuous improvement by identifying and preventing potential issues before they arise.
Enhance safety and quality standards by ensuring all equipment operates safely and reliably.
Demonstrate flexibility and resilience by adapting to a rotating weekend shift pattern, supporting a 24/7 operation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
Experience in responding swiftly to test cell breakdowns, supporting engine testing activities, and operating Test Cell equipment as a key part of your role.
Ability to work independently within a 24/7 support system, prioritizing tasks to increase productivity.
Skilled in maintaining and troubleshooting Test Cell Equipment and Support Systems, following planned schedules, and responding to breakdowns promptly.
Strong focus on safety—assessing risks thoroughly before commencing repairs and collaborating with engineers, operators, and managers to resolve issues efficiently.
Capable of managing parts orders, working with external suppliers to secure the best prices and quickest delivery.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:
HNC qualification in a related field
NVQ Level 3 or City and Guilds 2365 Level 3
City and Guilds 2382-15 18th Edition
