Electrical Engineer

Description

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer who has worked on electrical powertrain systems and interested in applying their knowledge into the hydrogen market. This role sits within our Engineering Team, working on the development of hydrogen fuel cells for various applications. The role sites within our Hydrogenics Business unit in Gladbeck, Germany.

Key responsibilities will include;

  • Taylor electronic systems for our Hydrogen Fuel cell products including; configuration, testing, integration, software release into an electronic system that controls the operation of the bespoke product in a variety of customer applications.

  • Investigates electronic application and systems problems, understanding causal mechanisms, recommend appropriate actions, owns problem resolution and documents results.

  • Apply and improve electronic application and systems development processes and tools.

  • Processes include system specification, modelling and simulation, calibration, Design Verification Plan and Report (DVP&R), and troubleshooting. Tools include Simulink, calibration tools, and PTC Integrity .

  • Makes decisions in the areas of electronic systems design, requirements, calibration, and test that impact the quality and performance of calibrated subsystems and feature classes of electronic subsystems.

  • Provides support and guidance to influence technical direction within a project team and continues to develop proficiency in the competency areas critical to success in the role.

  • Operates as a recognized specialist in a discipline or product area within the immediate team.

Qualifications

To be a success in this role you will need;

  • A master’s degree in Electrical engineering is essential.

  • Existing experience in an Electrical Engineering position in either; electrical powertrain, e-mobility, automotive, heavy duty and/ or similar is required.

  • Fluency in German and English is required.

  • Previous experience with the software E- Plan will be beneficial.

  • Willingness to travel up to 30% to support customer queries.
