Health, Safety & Environment Manager
We are looking for a Health, Safety & Environment Lead who can apply their existing knowledge of German legislation and regulations to a brown field production facility in Mannheim, Germany.
This is a new location to Cummins, so you will initially be based from our existing site in Gross- Gerau whilst you prepare for the launch of the site. Following the launch, you will move to the site in an operational role where you will be responsible for the Health, Safety & Environmental needs of the site.
Your impact will be seen in these and other ways;
Partner with the site MD to ensure HSE compliance in terms of local legislation and company policy and ensure requirements are effectively implemented prior to the launch of the site.
Create a cross functional and interdependent HSE culture at the site
Support and influence to reduce HSE risks and identify HSE opportunities in the planning and design of a new site
Collaborate with subject matter experts from related groups to support efforts to improve HSE performance or compliance processes and identify opportunities to establish common processes and tools.
Lead Implementation and maintenance of the 14001 and 45001 Management Systems at the site
Conduct and coach others to carry out thorough root cause analysis to find improvement solutions to HSE issues
To be successful you will need;
Certification or working towards the Sicherheitsfachkraft OHS Specialist qualification is preferred.
Degree level qualification in relevant subject is essential
Existing experience of HSE compliance work within Germany is essential.
Experience of ISO14001 and/or 18001/45001 is preferred
Fluent in German and English is essential.
