Field Service Engineer
Hydrogenics, part of the Cummins Group is an industry leading developer of renewable hydrogen technology and we are currently looking to hire a Service Engineer to join us in our Oevel location.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic engineer with a background in electro- mechanics, looking for a hands- on position,commissioningand/ or servicing industry leading equipment for various clients around the world.

Collaborate with the Technology Team to perform initial tests of equipment installations at the test facility, before visiting the client site.
Ensure installation quality by validating equipment performance and ensuring installations meet Hydrogenics standards.
Investigate integration and installation problems, recommending appropriate action and owning problem resolution with the guidance of the Technology Team if required.
Complete start up of new installations on location and ensure training of the customer on usage of the installation.
Perform pre- planned preventive maintenance services on a bi – yearly basis, as assigned by the Service Manager
Provide service assistance for the client’s, providing instructions over the phone, and/ or logging into to the equipment remotely. Attend reactive break down calls as instructed by the Service Manager.
Ensure the appropriate parts are available onsite prior to each client visit.
Ensures a correct and timely administration after every customer visit.
Continuedly develop knowledge of the electrolysis equipment in a broad sense i.e. mechanical, electrical, process and software
Master/Bachelor degree in Electro-mechanical or Automation (or equivalent experience)
Knowledge of PLC programming would be highly beneficial.
Fluent English language skills are essential.
Demonstrate a tenacious personality and the ability to manage a high volume of customer needs at any one time
Results driven, even under tough circumstances
Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of the customer
An analytical mind with the ability to interrogate data and from that come up with innovate solutions to potential problems.
Willingness to travel internationally for 40% of the time, ranging over periods from one to three weeks.
