Project Engineer- Electrolyzers
At our Oevel site in Belgium, Cummins is developing innovative Fuel Cell and Electrolyzer technologies that can generate hydrogen for various applications with zero emissions - contributing to a safe and healthy environment for future generations.
We have a diverse team of engineers dedicated to the development of existing and future products for customers on a global scale. We are currently looking for a Project Engineer to join the team. The role will report to the Customer Engineering Solutions Manager.
Your impact will include:
Prepare cost estimates by studying blueprints, plans, and related customer documents; consulting with engineering, production, purchasing and product management teams.
Create detailed analysis of product costing, tooling costing, and submittal of design and process improvements to meet customer specifications . If necessary, partner cross functionally where bespoke solutions are required.
Collaborate with cross functional teams to understand standard component fabrication and materials, and current demands of existing customers to create quotations for the sales team to provide to new customers.
Evaluate and improve upon existing pricing tools used by the sales team, ensuring that up to date prices and product information is available.
Compose and analyze detailed Bill of Materials for customer proposals.
Provide technical engineering information by creating and giving presentations on customer proposals. This contains, but is not limited to, costing breakdown, 3D representations finished goods, 3D representations of tooling , etc.
Prior engineering work with bigger budgets - You will be working with budgets up until 500M at Cummins
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
Great technical skills and be able to meet deadline and work on different projects.
Advanced safety awareness.
Ability to manage relationships with key stakeholders involved in projects (including internal and external clients).
Ability to adapt to constant change and handle high pressure situations to support the team in meeting project objectives.
A high emotional quotient (EQ) that can be applied to motivate teams, increase team efficiency, and aid on conflict resolution.
Fluent in English, other languages are a plus
Strong Communication skills
Higher Technical degree - preferably Electromechanical
Prior engineering work with bigger budgets - You will be working with budgets up until 500M at Cummins.
Prior engineering/technical experience in at least one significant industrial EPC/EPCM project/companies.
Experience in working on a multi discipline project.
Experience in engineering, procurement and construction, and other project-related activities, their interfaces, and interdependencies. Broad knowledge of industry standards.
