Description

Hydrogenics, part of the Cummins Group is an industry leading developer of renewable hydrogen technology and we are currently looking to hire a HR Manager to join us in our Oevel location.

This is a once in a life time career opportunity to lead two of our sites through a major transformation period and exponential growth as we integrate Hydrogenics into the Cummins group, post-acquisition. You will be an influential member of the leadership team, building strategic relationships to link organizational strategy with HR best practices for both short and long-term business needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the regional HR leader for our Oevel and Gladbeck (Germany) sites. Partner with business and HR functional leadership in the planning and implementation of HR initiatives and policies for the organization.

Ensure the smooth integration of Hydrogenics colleagues over to the Cummins business, including; the implementation of Cummins processes, migration to Cummins payroll, introducing Cummins Compensation and Benefits packages; fostering an open communication climate during the transition period.

Own organizational change initiatives for both sites. Gain buy in from local leadership teams and collaborate to create a positive environment for all employees during a period of ambiguity.

Collaborate with business leadership to translate current and future business goals and developsinitiatives and tactics to meet business objectives in alignment with overall HR strategies and processes.

Resolve conflicts and provide coaching and counseling on HR matters for functional. and organizational leadership.

Ensure compliance with key government legislative requirements and adherence to HR policies and procedures. Continue to develop own knowledge and understanding of relevant labour laws in Belgium and Germany.

  • Coach and mentor the professional HR direct report. Identify opportunities to develop skills and provide a clear career development path.

Qualifications

  • Substantial experience within HR at a strategic level. You are knowledgeable in multiple human resource disciplines including; employee engagement and retention, organizational development, employee relations, and local employment laws.

Relevant HR qualifications are required, or you are qualified via experience in a similar role.

Ideally, you have previous experienceassisting a business during an acquisition, restructure, or process transformation.

The natural ability to instill trust with people at various levels. You are renowned for developing strong working relationships across your organization.

Cross-functional communication is second nature to you in solving problems and addressing roadblocks.

You excel at collaborating with business leaders to create their people plan, solve problems, coach and influence change.

You are an advocate for change, institutionalizing a positive culture, whilst ensuring a smooth transition during a time of organizational transformation.

English and Dutch language skills are essential. German language skills would beneficial.

Committed to having an onsite presence at our Gladbeck site at least twice a month.
