Service Information Engineer
At our Oevel site in Belgium, Cummins is developing innovative Fuel Cell and Electrolyzer technologies that can generate hydrogen for various applications with zero emissions - contributing to a safe and healthy environment for future generations.
We have a diverse team of engineers dedicated to the development of existing and future products for customers on a global scale. We are currently looking for a Service Information Engineer to join the team. The role will report to the Customer Care Program Leader – Fuel Cell & Hydrogen Technologies.
This role will be responsible to create, maintain, update design changes, and publish various product service information/manuals.
It will also be supporting service training development as required. The successful candidate will need to work closely with the below team members:
-NPD service engineers, to capture service procedures & best practices
-Service Information and Training development specialist
-CMI Service Information team, to learn Cummins authoring tool and publication systems to be able to populate service information following general standards/guidelines.
This entry level product service focused position designs and develops service information (publications, imagery) and training to be used by the global network of field service technicians throughout Cummins.
Develop and manage service information from product design documentation and information provided by subject matter experts in the Engineering function
Follow standardized work procedures to promote consistent approach to Service Information and Training
Technical Service Information - Creates the information necessary for the service channel to efficiently and effectively troubleshoot and repair product to maximize customer uptime.
Service Information Process - Organizes product technical information by utilizing available resources including established systems, processes, tools, teams, and suppliers to deliver service information to a target audience; identifies and resolves emerging issues by breaking down complex processes, tools, systems, or agencies in order to prevent delays in the delivery of desired outcomes.
Instructional Design and Effectiveness - Analyzes, designs, develops, implements, and evaluates instructional content using Cummins methodologies and technologies to maximize learning and meet organizational needs; evaluates success indicators by using appropriate collection methods and analyzing the results to validate content effectiveness as compared to the learning objectives.
Training Delivery - Instructs learners in a manner that engages and adjusts to individual and group needs resulting in knowledge, skills and abilities that can be applied on the job.
Decision quality - Making good and timely decisions that keep the organization moving forward.
College, university, or equivalent.Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering qualification is preferred; Other engineering discipline is also acceptable.
Experience in hydrogen production or Fuel cell industry is not required but an advantage.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are a must.
Ability to work within cross functional teams. Supportive of co-workers and teammates, principally concerned about group success.
Knowledge of MS Office tools and Presentation tools.
Knowledgeable in any CAD tool is preferred (especially PTC Creo).
Fluent in English both written and verbal.
Fluent in Dutch is an advantage.
