This is a very exciting opportunity in Peterborough for an experienced Material Planning Supervisor. In this role you will oversee the activities of a team of Material Planners whilst planning and maintaining daily Supply Chain operations in a range of functional areas such as materials, production, inventory, logistics, customer service, demand management and order fulfillment.
This position is part of a brand-new department within the business and it is perfect for you if you are looking for the opportunity to make a name for yourself in a global organization. You will be able to develop a new team as well as be a key influencer in Continuous Improvement initiatives for the department.
Your impact will be seen in these and other ways:
Oversee a team of Material Planners to ensure internally and externally sourced materials are ordered and available on time whilst utilizing resources and data to optimize inventory levels.
Managing Material Planning activities for your assigned set of suppliers or sites on products sourced from the EMEA region.
Drive KPI’s in the team such as; managing supplier performance, delivery performance, inventory management etc.
Own complex enquires and escalations and engage with other End-to-End tracks, Regional Operating Team or Function, as needed.
Identify potential supply chain failures as part of the planning process and mitigate associated risks.
Collaborate with stakeholders - internal and/or external to develop short term tactical improvements.

Skills and Experience Required:
To be a success in this role you will need:
A proven track record of working in a fast-paced Supply Chain environment.
To demonstrate an understanding of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems.
To be an advocate for continuous improvement and always looking for ways to optimize work processes.
To enjoy being a positive and motivational leader, with demonstrable experience managing a team.
Exceptional communication skills, allowing you to liaise with suppliers, internal stakeholders and other parts of the business.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary up to £32,000 plus an 8% variable bonus (paid annually based on company performance)
