Technical Project Leader - Product Specialist
We are looking for an innovative Technical Project Leader to oversee a talented product development team in the research and development of technological advancements across a diverse application range. This role is within our power systems business unit in Peterborough, UK.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Lead the product team in the design, prototyping, testing and release of technological advancements for new/ existing products, parts and subsystems, partnering with the customer directly to ensure that their needs are met.
Coordinate complex product development activities, taking ownershipfor the project management of technical risk and quality of the product up to and including early production.
Collaborate cross functionally across the business, integrating the needs of interdisciplinary stakeholders and ensuring that cost and delivery targets are met without compromising the value package profile.
Collaborate with program leadership, customers, product engineers and or, technology teams to deliver robust prototype and production designs, technical mitigation plans and deliverables of new or current product change activities.
Deliver the execution of established and emerging work processes and systems, and identify opportunities to continuously improve such processes and systems with a focus on efficiencies and cost savings.
Coach and motivate a dedicated product team – encouraging new and forward- thinking ideas that are practical and ensuring that they can be delivered on time and in budget.
Support the technical direction within the team and continues to develop proficiency in the competency areas critical to success in the role.
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
An engineering degree is required.
Prior experience in a similar development role, with evidence of technical problem solving and quality decision making capabilities.
To be focused on the innovation and future product lifecycle strategy across brands.
To be practically minded, with the ability to interrogate data and from that come up with creative solutions to potential problems.
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary between £ 41,000 – 51,300 depending on experience.
Defined contribution pension scheme (up to 9%)
Annual bonus plan - target 8% (based upon company performance)
