We have a fantastic new role in Quimper for aNew Product Introduction (NPI) Purchasing Project Manager. This successful candidate will be responsible for the selection of suppliers to support global projects, including; RFQ’s, Tooling, BOM’s and PPAP.

Your impact will be seen in these and other ways:
Manage the sourcing of new suppliers for new or existing products.
Support purchasing/sourcing management in activities such as price benchmarking, process analysis, market and industry research, and model building.
Analyze quotations from different suppliers, negotiating the costs of parts and tooling and ensuring each supplier can deliver within the projects’ timeframes.
Conduct and facilitate technical design reviews with suppliers, in order to confirm functionality of the part / component and manufacturability.
Manage suppliers On Time Delivery performance during prototype / development phases.
Update and maintain standard costs within the system during the NPI project and sustaining of new parts phase.
Work with production buyers to transfer material purchasing responsibility, once the new parts have obtained approved status.
Prepares and presents recommendations of improvement opportunities and alternative courses of action to purchasing/sourcing leaders.
To be successful in this role you will need:
An Engineering related degree would be beneficial, but relevant work experience will also be considered.
Previous experience in a procurement or supply chain role would be beneficial but not essential.
The ability to multi – task in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, adapting to change and conflicting priorities as and when required.
