Payroll Analyst – Belgium
In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead payroll processing activities for several company sites based in Oevel and Rumst for specific payroll groups including the preparation, processing, and balancing of payroll and supporting payroll processing activities utilizing internal or external payroll technologies.
About the role:
Working in close collaboration with the managers and employees, you will be the first line of support with payroll queries, ensuring compliance with internal controls on payroll systems and compliance with tax and other payroll-related legislation. You will also be:
Serving as an internal and external resource on payroll-related inquiries.
Ensuring that payroll is prepared according to internal processes and payments are calculated and paid accurately and timely; ensuring that proper taxes and other deductions are withheld.
Reviewing the issuance of checks, preparation of off-cycle or replacement checks, and maintenance of payroll system information; reviewing the information prepared for general ledger entries and other accounting and financial reporting activities associated with payroll.
Led the review and preparation of data necessary for the filing of payroll-related tax returns and miscellaneous withholding forms, ensuring the generation of year-end reports.
Administrating and reviewing allowances and withholdings, taxes, and other income and deductions.
Led continuous improvement projects and initiatives, supporting the development and maintenance of payroll process documentation.
Coaching and mentoring less experienced payroll administrators.
Providing (if needed) supervision to payroll teams including assigning work according to availability, skills, and developmental needs; assesses performance and provides feedback to direct reports.
Maintaining and updating standard operating procedures in the Document Management System; making recording of KPI and scorecard statistics and billing information.
You will ideally have a Payroll administration, Payroll analysis, or Human Resource background and experience within a manufacturing, logistics, and/or Supply Chain Management environment, however, if you enjoy and can evidence a high level of analytical skills, attention to detail, resiliency, and strong communication skills along with an interest in being part of a global organization, we’d love to hear from you. Here are some of the other skills and competencies we’d like you to have:
BA and/or MA degree in Human Resources, Business, or another related transferrable field.
Extended relevant work experience in the HR and/or Payroll domain.
Strong knowledge of Belgium's Statutory legislation; knowledge of the Netherlands' Legislation would be a benefit;
Experience in payroll management (salaries & C&P) with experience in using Time Management, Payroll, and HR systems.
Data-driven approach and strong analytical skills to help resolve complex issues with extended knowledge of MS Excel (ability to produce pivot tables, VLOOKUP etc.)
Stakeholder management skills with excellent customer service skills.;
Ability to work independently using your own initiative and prioritizing the workload as well as together with the team.
Fluency in Dutch and English, as these are our main business languages used on the site.
