This is an exciting opportunity in Stockton On Tees for an Accounts Receivable Supervisor to work in a department of 14 with 6 direct reports. You will be responsible for managing, supervising and developing your team, building up customer relationships and improving processes to continue our growing success.

Your impact will be seen in these and other ways:

  • Managing and motivating a team of 6 direct reports: supervising workloads, monthly reviews, annual reviews, mentoring and continuing their development

  • Being the key point of contact for internal customers and the teams’ analysts

  • Supervise the workflow for relevant entities within UK and Europe

  • Ensure SLA’s/KPI’s are met

  • Working closely with AR Team Leader and Manage to improve processes and internal controls across UK and Europe

  • Month-end tasks

  • Working with senior leaders on projects to improve the function


Skills and Experience Required:

  • AR experience is ideal for this position as you will need to understand how an AR function operates

  • Team management experience but not necessarily within an AR environment although this would be beneficial

  • Business partnering skills with internal and external customers

  • Able to use Excel competently: pivots and looks up are an example

  • Use of Oracle or Movex Financial systems would be beneficial but any CRM system is ideal

  • Experience in a fast-paced environment is ideal as we are fast-paced business

  • Experience of working to deadlines inside or outside of work and able to demonstrate this

Required Education, Licenses or Certifications

  • Accountancy or Finance would be beneficial but not essential

  • Any management qualification would be beneficial but not essential

Compensation and Benefits

Salary: £29,881 to £36,520 depending on experience

  • Defined contribution pension scheme - company contributions up to 9%

  • Annual bonus plan - target 8% (based upon company performance)
