This is an exciting opportunity in the Wellingborough for a Project Sales Business Development Manager

Cummins UK, is where you can work on industry leading engineering projects such as working closely with large businesses across the country ensuring they have the Genset solutions required.

Your impact will be seen in these and other ways:

  • Gaining a clear understanding of our customer’s requirements and offering bespoke solutions.

+

  • Manage various customer relationships & delivering sales targets

+

  • Responsible for bidding on various projects at any one time

+

  • Make informed commercial decisions

+

  • Able to identify potential new contacts/ companies of prospective customers and build positive relationships

+

  • Product range is diesel gensets up to 4.5Mva

+

  • Exposure of working on Multi Million pound projects with an extensive customer portfolio

+

Qualifications

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Previous experience with power generation project sales

  • Excellent commercial awareness

  • Ability to develop strategies to grow and formulate marketing plans

  • Able to conduct sale calls according to plans, gather information and negotiate terms of sale

  • Previous technical engineering experience.

  • Understanding the dynamics of Genset performance in various applications

  • Building relationships with corporate / blue chip clients

Required Education, Licenses or Certifications

  • Degree qualified (will consider HNC/HND) in Engineering

  • Travel will be required in this role across the UK
