HR Generalist


HR Advisor

Salary: £26,500 to £33,000

Our Distribution Business Unit in Europe consists of a distributor and dealer support network. They deliver reliable sales and service of durable and high performing engine, generator set and aftermarket products to our regionally based (global) partners. Working in a diverse, multi-cultural and innovative space, you’ll interact directly with our customers, build relationships and develop high tech solutions that will fuel your advanced career skill set. This is an excellent opportunity in our Wellingborough office for a HR Advisor to join our HR team across the UK. You will responsible for overseeing the Wellingborough site of around 200 employees and you will be the main point of contact for employees. You will required to work closely with the HR Manager for UK and Ireland and help out with the other 5 sites when needed.

Your impact will be seen in these and other ways:

  • Main point of contact for 200 employees on site,

  • Dealing with employee relation issues, holidays, absences, long term sickness and flexible working,

  • Conducting complaints and disciplinaries and investigations,

  • Issuing contracts for employees,

  • Making sure employees comply with procedures and policies,

  • Reviewing HR processes including annual compensation,

  • Working closely with Line HR and Senior Managers with salary reviews and promotions,

  • Participates in performance management activities including employee development planning,

  • Coordinates training needs assessment and participates in training activities and special projects,

  • Making sure HR procedures and policies are adhered to in an accurate and timely manner,

  • Offering support to Line Managers with interviews and offering support where needed,

  • Developing close relationships with Line Managers and employees


Skills and Experience Required:

  • Previous HR experience

  • At least 12 months HR experience

  • If you have assisted as a HR Advisor and you are you looking to make a step up then please do consider the position

Required Education, Licenses or Certifications

  • CIPD would be desirable but NOT essential
